Laura Braga
Laura Braga is an Italian comic book artist best known for her work on Future State: The Next Batman, written by Academy Award–winning screenwriter John Ridley (12 Years a Slave), featuring the first mainstream Black Batman in the DC Universe, Tim Fox. She began her career in 1999 as a storyboard artist for Italian TV commercials. In 2005, she met and collaborated with Milo Manara, whose influence guided her toward a more realistic art style.
Laura entered the U.S. comic book industry in 2012, working for Top Cow as the regular artist on Witchblade. Since 2014, she has worked with Marvel Comics on titles such as Superior Iron Man, Captain Marvel, The Punisher, and Dazzler.
She currently works as a cover artist and comic artist for Archie Comics, and as a cover artist for Dynamite Comics and Titan Comics.
She has been collaborating with DC Comics since 2015, illustrating iconic characters including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, Green Arrow, and Bombshells.
In 2022, she was selected as the artist for the Free Comic Book Day 2023 illustration. The artwork was used for the official commemorative T-shirt, poster, and promotional items for FCBD 2023.
Since 2024, she has been working on the Star Wars series for Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics.
