Rick Leonardi
Early Life and Education: Born on August 9, 1957, in Philadelphia, Leonardi grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was inspired to become an artist by Joe Kubert and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1979.
Career Highlights:
Marvel: Started at Marvel in 1980, drawing titles such as Vision and Scarlet Witch, Hulk, and The Amazing Spider-Man.
Co-Creator: Co-created Spider-Man 2099 with writer Peter David, and was the regular penciler for its first 25 issues.
DC Comics: Contributed to Batman and Teen Titans, and was the regular artist for issues of Nightwing and Batgirl.
Dark Horse: Worked on Predator and the Aliens vs. Predator line, as well as various Star Wars titles, including the General Grievous series.
Other Work: Has also worked for companies like CrossGen, Event Comics, and on titles such as Fables and Superman.
Recent Work: In recent years, his work has been featured in titles like Superman Returns Prequel and he is credited as a writer for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Recently he did a campaign kickstarter for a personal work.
