Sara Pichelli is an Italian comic book artist best known for co-creating Miles Morales, the new Spider-Man. She joined and won Marvel’s international talent contest ChesterQuest in 2008 and went on to work on titles such as NYX, X-Men, Namora, and Runaways before being selected as the main artist for the second volume of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man.

She quickly became one of Marvel’s most celebrated young artists, winning an Eagle Award and a Harvey Award in 2011, followed by two Stan Lee Awards in 2012. In 2014 she was named one of Marvel’s Young Guns, a recognition given to the most promising early-career artists. Her work in the following years included Guardians of the Galaxy (featuring Angela’s first Marvel Universe appearance, written by Neil Gaiman), All-New X-Men, Spider-Men, and the relaunch of Fantastic Four written by Dan Slott. In 2020 she illustrated a Spider-Man mini-series written by J.J. Abrams and Henry Abrams, and in 2022–2023 she helped launch the new Scarlet Witch solo series written by Steve Orlando.

Pichelli is currently working on major Marvel titles including Blood Hunt, X-Men: Dazzler, and Fantastic Four. She also recently co-created the new mutant Justina LaGuardia with Al Ewing, who appears in Giant-Size X-Men.
